Ann Nicholson, RN, MS, CS
My clinical practice is based on Bowen Family Systems Theory. This is a ground-breaking approach developed by Murray Bowen, MD in which issues in therapy are viewed from a family systems perspective; the family is seen as an emotional unit. I have taught community mental health in graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. I have presented regularly at conferences sponsored by the New England Seminar on Bowen Theory and other organizations within the Bowen network. I have contributed to scholarly publications on Bowen theory and I am the director and founding member of the New England Seminar on Bowen Theory.
