Jo Johnson, Ph.D.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialized focus on psychological and neuropsychological assessment. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and the Treatment of Substance Use. My interest in psychological assessment began during my Master’s program and became a central part of my academic and professional journey. I pursued this passion further during my Ph.D. studies at the University of Tennessee, where I focused on projective measures of assessment.

In my work, I take a thorough, detail-oriented approach to assessments, using a range of evidence-based tools to ensure accurate diagnosis and meaningful recommendations. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, I aim to provide clear, actionable insights that help guide treatment planning, educational decisions, and personal growth. My goal is two empower clients and their families by offering a deeper understanding of the underlying factors impacting mental health and well-being.
